Steve has performed, toured, and recorded with artists such as Joe Henderson, Bobby McFerrin, Charlie Haden, and the Turtle Island String Quartet. A featured member of the Andy Narell group for the last ten years, Steve has recorded six albums with the group as well as his own “Erkiology” (on the Windham Hill label) which reached #3 on the jazz airplay charts. Steve is an active teacher as well, with publications from Advance Music in Germany, as well as monthly articles on jazz and fusion in the magazine “Guitar & Bass.”
