You can now register for the 2018 Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Workshops at the University of Louisville!
Our Summer Jazz Workshops are for all ages … all abilities … and all instruments … including:

Our workshops are a complete submersion into jazz and improvisation. Participants get Jazz Theory, Combos, Master Classes, Jam Sessions, and more. More than 20 faculty concerts, and as much as 40 hours of classes and jam sessions makes these workshop unique. This is the experience of a lifetime. While you might be wondering if this workshop is for you, many will say it’s the only workshop to consider. Don’t put off until tomorrow, what you can experience today. Hi – Regarding the 2-day workshop, can one take that only or must you also be registered for one of the week long sessions to do a 2 day workshop?

Anyone can take Jamey’s 2-Day seminar without doing the week-long. We typically encourage people doing the 2-day Rhythm Section workshop to also do the week-long, but we have made exceptions. If this is something you’re interested in, contact me.

What is the program?
The 2-day seminar with Jamey is a classroom lecture format with Jamey as the only instructor. There will be a jam session on Saturday Night. The 2-day rhythm section is for bass, drums and guitar. It focuses on the rhythm section in small jazz combos. If you have any further questions, don’t hesitate to contact me!

Yes! We always have vocalists that attend and we have a voice instructor with us for the duration of the workshops.
